Meet Justin Fulton, BrightFire’s newest Software Developer! When he’s not writing funky paragraphs that magically translate to websites and other apps, Justin is often taking part in community development and charity in his hometown of Spokane, Washington.
His family has also participated in community development in Canada, Kenya, Mexico, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates, the last of which he just returned from an eight-year stint in 2020.
At BrightFire, we’ve developed a series of questions that are scientifically proven to tell you everything you need to know about a person. Here are Justin’s responses to those questions.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
I’m a musician and my son and I cover a lot of territory. Indie, 90’s alternative, 70’s rock, Bluegrass, Celtic, and a host of other genres are all fair game.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
While I’ve set foot on most of the continents, I’ve still not been anywhere in Asia. So, Japan or even the Philippines would be a good start.

What do you usually do when you have time off?
Study more code, practice guitar, write pen pals, practice calligraphy, sketch, paintball, disc golf, and rage quit Elden Ring.
What’s your favorite movie, and why?
Where Eagles Dare. It’s just a classic bit of Clint Eastwood being Clint Eastwood the American G.I. stereotype in the midst of a squad of Brits.
What is your guilty food pleasure?
Pizza. I fell in love with Pizza Napoletana when we visited Italy, so I have my own scratch recipe now. I bought an Ooni oven. It’s a bad fixation. Come on over; I’ll fix you some. Have problems with pineapple on pizza? No sweat, I’ll make you one with figs, goat cheese, dates, and a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette.
