Music Midtown is the largest music festival in Atlanta. Held annually from 1994 to 2005, it returned after a six-year hiatus in 2011 as a one-day event and Live Nation called on BrightFire to make it better than ever.

The re-booted Music Midtown festival was a big hit for fans and a big success for Atlanta businesses and Live Nation. Building on the strong fan support and vocal demand, it expanded to two days in 2012.

In 2012, Live Nation wanted more features added to the site to allow for more interactive fun before, during, and after the event. We offered an enhanced festival experience for the Music Midtown fan including a mobile app for both Apple and Android devices, personalized schedule, festival map with filterable locations, news ticker, and a scavenger hunt to encourage on-site participation.

BrightFire also designed, printed, and managed all on-site large graphic banners including a 48 foot stage scrim/banner for both sides of the main stage.

Encouraging vendors and sponsors to have a cohesive look, we designed all on-site signage and passes, from food vendors to VIP guests.

In 2014, to help website visitors navigate through the long list of artist performing across multiple stages and different days, we developed an advanced lineup/schedule system that seamlessly integrates the festival schedule, lineup, and artist information.

Website users can view the schedule of performing artists across all stages to help decide where to go to see their favorite performers or use the advanced lineup function to filter the festival’s performers by date or stage. Artist information, such as, performing details, bio, photos, social media, and videos can also be easily accessed from the lineup or the schedule.

This new lineup/schedule system also saves the festival organizers precious time. Festival organizers can easy update the lineup, schedule, and artist information through the website’s content management system. One update in the organizer’s admin updates the information across the website.

Since 2011 when Music Midtown started up again after a 6 year hiatus, festival attendance has increased from 35,000 to 125,000 last year.

Music Midtown is one of the greatest festivals that Atlanta has to offer and BrightFire is proud to be part of such a spectacular event.
