Ali Sabin Joins BrightFire as a Visual Designer

Get to Know Ali Sabin

Meet Ali Sabin, BrightFire’s newest Visual Designer. Ali began her career in graphic design and web development in 2001 at a design firm in Athens, GA. After that, she served as a Web Developer Specialist at the University of Georgia.

Having spent eight years with UGA, she returned to corporate design/development for private companies. As a Visual Designer at BrightFire, she designs and builds websites and social media for our independent insurance agency clients.

In her spare time, Ali enjoys block-printing, line-dancing, and wig-making. When asked about her interest in wig-making, this is what Ali had to say, “My fascination with wig-making was just an amalgamation of my time as a sculpture major, a peddler of vintage fashion, and a hairstylist. Building intricate, wearable forms made of “natural” fibers appeals to me on so many levels.”

At BrightFire, we’ve developed a series of questions that are scientifically proven to tell you everything you need to know about a person. Here are Ali’s responses to those questions.

What is your go-to karaoke song?

“Gold Dust Woman” by Fleetwood Mac, as well as anything by The Motels or Aimee Mann.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Japan, naturally. Japanese design is the ultimate example of “less is more.” Their celebration of the power of restraint, simplicity, and purity of line and form is now, and has always been, revolutionary.

What do you usually do when you have time off?

I have a very strict recreational schedule of Karaoke Fridays, Rummy Sundays,  and Bingo Wednesdays, and I absolutely love every minute.

BrightFire Visual Designer Ali Sabin enjoys Karaoke Fridays, Rummy Sundays, and Bingo Wednesdays.

What’s your favorite movie, and why?

Predator – it has everything. I used to watch it with my older brother, Adam, constantly as a kiddo, and it carries the best memories.

What is your guilty food pleasure?

French Fries! I get them without fail on the 15th of every month.
