BrightFire Director of Operations Bob Whitis has had a hand in ensuring the success of just about every department here at BrightFire. Bob started as a Project Manager in 2014 and has also been a Product Support Specialist and a Product Owner prior to becoming the Director of Operations in April of 2020.
As the Director of Operations, he manages the sales department to drive new revenue growth and our business development efforts to broker and strengthen corporate partnerships.
He also oversees the Manager of Customer Success, ensuring the onboarding and support for our line of services are executed efficiently and impressively. He plays an integral role in our marketing department, ensuring our branding and company persona are captured authentically in our messaging. He also actively participates in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new team members.
Bob has a background in Computer Science from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and prior to his career in technology, he was involved in hospitality management helping manage a number of full service restaurants and bars.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Aruba. Even though it’s off the coast of South America, it’s a constituent country of the Netherlands.

What do you usually do when you have time off?
I love to cook and maintain my mixology skills.
What’s your favorite movie, and why?
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, based on the books by Douglas Adams, because the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, is most definitely 42.
What is your guilty food pleasure?
Paella. I grew up on the coast and love seafood.
